When not printing & teaching, Spitzack can be found working as a carpenter specializing in treehouses. He got his start in the treehouse world as a child in the woods of Minnesota. In 2013, he came across Nelson Treehouse and Supply, taking part in the Animal Planet TV show Treehouse Masters from Season 3-11, as well as heading up major renovations at Treehouse Point in Fall City WA.

Spitzack has worked with O2 Treehouse and Wild Tree Woodworks on multiple projects– providing for a broad outlook on styles and approaches to treehouse building.
